As we wrap up 2025, we’re closing out the year with several impactful releases built to make partner stewardship smoother and donor engagement stronger. In this edition, we’re highlighting four newly launched updates, all designed to help you work more efficiently and deliver even more value to your supporters.

Updated Account Page Experience
|
|
We’ve released improvements to the FreeWill Account Page to create a clearer and more supportive experience for returning users. As life changes, estate plans should evolve too. With this update, returning donors now see clarified next steps based on where they left off, whether they need to update or finalize an existing will, or begin a new document.
We’ve also added a “My nonprofits” section to the Account Page to clearly highlight and celebrate the organizations your donors have chosen to support. A planned gift is meaningful and this space now serves as a moment of recognition and celebration of your donors’ generosity. Take a quick look at this explainer video to see what’s new.

Recurring DAF Grants: Sustained Giving, Simplified
|
|
With this new Recurring DAF Grants release, donors can now set up monthly recurring DAF grants just by checking a box in the gift flow making sustained giving simple and seamless. You’ll see those gifts clearly tagged as “recurring grant” in your partner portal so you can engage and steward those donors intentionally over time. Smart Gifts Dashboard: All Smart Gifts, One Dashboard
|
|
Organizations can now manage crypto and all smart gifts in one consolidated dashboard for simpler oversight and reporting in the Partner Portal. This new consolidated view allows you to see every smart gift type + status in one place with the ability to filter by tool. Reported DAFs and QCD acknowledgement requests now live together on a single tab, separate from gifts moving through the FreeWill workflows, making tracking, managing, and reporting easier and more efficient.
New in the Partner Portal: AI Assistant in the Partner Help Center

The Partner Help Center in your portal now includes an AI assistant to help you get answers faster. Partners can ask questions directly in the Help Center and receive immediate, accurate responses based on our official documentation, making it easier to find what you need, when you need it.

How Grace Family Church Used FreeWill to Unlock Over $2M in Smarter, More Impactful Giving

By pairing the Planned Giving Suite with FreeWill’s Smart Giving tools, Grace Family Church has transformed the way its 6,000-member congregation gives resulting in more than $2M in new gifts and a cultural shift toward thoughtful, long-term stewardship. With ready-made campaigns, personalized messaging, and pastor-led endorsements, the church empowered members to explore stock, DAF, QCD, and legacy giving options many had never considered before.
“People didn’t know these giving options existed until we had FreeWill,” said Ann Morrick, Donor Development and Business Systems Director. “This has changed the way people give.”

How Jax State Leveraged the FreeWill Planned Giving Suite & Microsite to Secure $250K In New Legacy Commitments

By pairing their Planned Giving Suite with a dedicated and user-friendly Microsite Jax State has secured over $8.2M in total new legacy commitments, effectively communicated its message to alumni, and ultimately secured a stronger foundation for future legacy support. “Some planned giving website vendors are so complicated…But the FreeWill Microsite is written in a way that is so easy to read and understand,” said Kim Dalesandro, their Planned Giving Officer.
