What’s new this Fall + what’s coming before year-end
Welcome to the quarterly Product Pulse!
As we head into the final stretch of 2025, we’re excited to share some of the latest updates we’ve rolled out and preview what’s still to come before year-end. With new features like Smart Giving Widgets and a smarter upgrade to William, our AI-powered writing assistant, we’re making it easier than ever for you and your team to work efficiently and effectively.
⚙️ Smart Giving Widgets are here!
We’re excited to share that Smart Giving Widgets are officially live! Smart Giving Suite partners now have the option to embed widgets for a seamless giving experience directly on your site with just a few lines of code. The widgets keep donors on your page, boost trust, improve tracking, and make giving effortless. FreeWill’s nonprofit partner, Susan G. Komen, recently received a $34.4K crypto gift through the Smart Giving Widget – a powerful example of how the tool can drive meaningful results right from your website.
The widget instructions are already available in the Partner Portal under Customizations. Need help? Check out our Help Center guide, review this 3-minute explainer video, or reach out to our support team at partnersupport@freewill.com directly.

🔍 Estate Plan Only Users is officially launched!
Starting this summer, you now have visibility into users who complete an estate plan through your organization’s FreeWill link, and agree to share their information — even without making a gift. Watch the 3-minute explainer video or visit the Partner Resource Hub for tips on how to engage these supporters and unlock new stewardship opportunities.
Please note: This data will be available going forward only. To protect donor privacy, we’re unable to backfill past users. You’ll begin seeing this data in your Portal starting Summer 2025.

With Make-A-Will Month in the rear view mirror, we're already looking ahead to DAF Day, a national day of giving designed to inspire generosity through Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs). DAF Day takes place this year on October 9, 2025 and aligns perfectly with our Smart Giving Suite End-of-Year campaign, which focuses on raising tax-advantaged non-cash gifts.

Legacy in a Time of Need: How Connecticut Foodshare Raised $1.4M Through Planned Giving

When rising food costs and federal funding cuts put pressure on budgets, Connecticut Foodshare turned to planned giving to build stability for the future. 💭 Give us feedback on your FreeWill experience!
