An update to your Partner Portal

The Partner Portal is getting a makeover! Later this month, we’ll be releasing a new version of our portal. You'll still have access to all the pages and dashboards that you're familiar with, but with an upgraded navigation feature.

Additionally, you are invited to check out the New portal where you'll enjoy faster load times, simplified gift lists, and interactive gift pages for every type of gift, where you can track statuses and add notes.

Stay tuned for more details on these releases in the coming months, including further training in the Fall to help you make optimal use of the Portal’s powerful new capabilities! Access to the Classic portal will remain available for many months to ease the transition.

How did our spring campaign perform?

Spring has come and gone! Here are our top learnings from your Spring Bequest campaigns:

  1. Partners that sent Spring outreach saw a huge lift in Bequest site traffic. From April to May, their site traffic increased by 154%. For those that did not send outreach, partner site traffic decreased by 2 percentage points.
→ Why it matters: Wills and bequests depend on traffic to your site. Sending outreach is critical to securing bequest commitments!

  2. We saw equal gift generation rates across all of our email framing options. Partner emails fell into 3 categories: emails focused on a season of renewal, sustainable giving, or a sector-specific moment.
→ Why it matters: Adhering to our framing options helps generate gifts! Rest assured that all three of these messages are effective options for future campaigns.

  3. No surprise — emails led the way. Emails generated a stunning 94% of the total bequest commitment dollars through outreach.
→ Why it matters: Make-A-Will Month and National Estate Planning Awareness Week (NEPAW) are just around the corner. Request email copy from your Strategist if you haven’t already — and don’t forget to mark your calendar to save space in your organization’s communication plans!

Interested in custom websites?

FreeWill is considering a new product offering: planned and major giving websites, or microsites. Our wonderful nonprofit partners have expressed a great deal of interest in this product, so we are exploring what it could look like, with the goal of creating sites that are:

  • Highly customized to fit the look and feel of your nonprofit

  • Updated with the latest and highest-performing content

  • Integrated seamlessly into your other FreeWill tools
