📝 More changes are coming to the Gift Intent Form

Last month, we swapped the “Outside Bequest Form” with the sleeker “Gift Intent Form.” In addition to a user experience face-lift, the form now caters to two donor types:

  • Donors providing a written gift intent form for a gift committed through a FreeWill estate plan

  • Donors reporting a gift committed through an estate plan made outside of FreeWill

A new feature launched this week that provides two additional questions to help you get a full picture of the donor’s gift: how they want to be recognized and who to reach out in the event they pass away.

The addition of the executor question came from feedback directly from our partners, so we look forward to continuing to advance this form to meet your needs. Please share additional feedback on the Gift Intent Form by completing this survey!

💡 FreeWill tools have achieved heightened accessibility standards!

FreeWill is dedicated to ensuring our tools are accessible and inclusive to users of all abilities, so that your donors who may require screen-readers or other assistive technology can effortlessly use the FreeWill platform. We are proud to share that at the end of 2023, our Will, Revocable Living Trust, and Beneficiary tools achieved WCAG Level 2.1 AA compliance, which is a high standard for accessibility in the industry. You may have noticed some changes in the flow of our tools, such as the navigation bar and fully-labeled input fields, all aimed at improving usability.

We welcome feedback on how we can make our tools more accessible. If you or your donors encounter any issues, please let us know by emailing a11y@freewill.com.
