New updates to your Portal and more
|
|
-
Total Page Views in the Bequests and Non-probate Assets (NPA) Dashboards: In addition to seeing traffic data, you’ll now see the total views of your custom bequest (or NPA) pages as well as a graph of page views over time. In your Campaign Performance Summary report, you can also see the amount of traffic driven by specific UTM campaigns, even if that traffic did not result in gift commitments.
|
-
Capture Additional Details when marking DAFs, QCDs, and Stocks as “Received”: When you update the status of a DAF, QCD, or Stock gift to “received,” you can now record the date it was received and the actual amount received. Any status changes you make should be edited on New Portal moving forward.
|
-
Asset Inventory: As we continue to evolve our estate planning tools for our users, we've made it possible for will-makers to document their assets like real estate, vehicles and other valuables. As more will-makers add specific information to their estate plan, you may start to notice changes in the size of your bequest values. Our aim is to supply your development team with the most accurate data possible, while creating a world-class estate planning experience for our users.

QCD Update
Have you heard of the SECURE 2.0 Act?
On December 29, 2022, the SECURE 2.0 Act became law. In addition to other changes, as of January 1, 2023, the age to start taking Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) increased from age 72 to age 73, except for donors who turned 72 before January 1, 2023.
This is a great opportunity to reach out to donors with New Year, New RMD messaging. We recommend including the following language: Recent legislation has updated the age for Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) so that donors 73 and older must take an RMD. However, if you were subject to RMDs in 2022, you must take your RMD in 2023. These funds can be used towards a tax-savvy IRA gift!
In addition to updating our QCD Tool to reflect the changes, FreeWill will also be updating our Learn and Help centers and hosting new educational content about the Secure 2.0 Act including an upcoming Blog to support our users as they explore what Secure 2.0 means for their planning.

An image speaks a thousand words!
|
Partners with any type of FreeWill Featureship are now showcased with a custom, eye-catching image and logo. As prospective donors move through the will flow, using an image and logo gives your organization heightened visibility, brand recognition, and overall exposure to help capture new donors and spread your mission. Either your custom site image, or a stock image was used for this feature card. Contact your Strategist to review or update your image.
